The Construction Division is a Government Business Division of the Department of Infrastructure and the leading Northern Territory Government provider of infrastructure planning, construction and maintenance. It also plays a lead role in disaster management.

Work is carried out across the Northern Territory by private contractors and the division has offices in all major regional centers where staff manages this process. Staff of the Construction Division is employed in a diverse range of professional, technical and administrative positions. The Government Business Division operates on a fee for service basis and manages the projects from design stage, through construction and supervising the maintenance of the completed product.
NGT operates with a large enterprise architecture with windows network and shared file servers, intranets and applications. The IT support and operations is outsourced.
