Learn the words – context computing. It sounds great. Based on your the context of your content it can do “stuff” and “features” for you. However, what if the computing is done for the benefit of someone else; like your competitor, advertiser or others who want take advantage, compete with you or harm you?
Facebook, Google or Linkedin compute your interests, and we accept that it is how they can generate income to secure sustainable jobs and make investors happy.
But when anyone can do this based on your content which you have stored in the cloud for business purposes, it makes me wonder – do I really want to give it all away? That is why I love my windows PC with my local drive, VPN to my business and my K-Maps.
I correlate, use and share any data stored in internal and / or cloud sources, but i guard my knowledge as an asset for my own and my business benefit.
