Most of the time you populate the K-Map outline manually, by dragging and dropping content into the K-Map. With AutoCorrelate you can dynamically generate a K-Map containing project related information from different perspectives, based on profile fields, tags or categories.
Choose the AutoCorrelate command from the Correlate Data menu to insert an outline of the search results. The AutoCorrelate dialog shows you all the document attributes according to which you can search the document store. In it, you specify two parameters: the text to search for, and the perspective according to which the matching results should be displayed. The sample for AutoCorrelate is using the IBM Lotus Document Manager search API, however same seatures can be realized with the Correlate API (application programming interface )
Mark the check mark next to an attribute to include the attribute in the resulting outline structure. The order of the attributes in the list determines their order in the resulting outline (the first attribute becomes the outline root, the second attribute is inserted below the first attribute etc..) You can change the order of attributes by using the Move Up and Move Down buttons.
To search for documents whose attributes matches give values, click the Value field for each of the desired attributes or select the attribute and press F2, and then specify the search criteria. The resulting outline will only contain links to documents whose attributes match the given values.
You can limit the maximum number of matching documents retrieved by specifying a number in the Up To spinner.
